Product works as advertised. Here's the only caveat. Once you get the thing up and running, it works great. Replacement for our older diamond vc500 device.

Cons
The hauppage is junk, they have a software bug they don't know about, or their qc is terrible. All attempts at receiving support from this company (corel), email and live chat are a joke. Better stick with their hd-pvr.

The software is super easy to use and install and there were no sync errors excellent video quality
It worked right away i was able tot transfer all my tapes without any kind of problems and the quality is great
The quality was pretty bad out of my 8 mm vcr
I was so disappointed in the results and was very discouraged thinking my videos had degraded terribly over the years
Price
Take the opportunity to rip your old vhs tapes to digital at a very reasonable price
I initially looked into having our movies converted by a professional and the estimated cost would have been gt 1000
