High bitratre doesnt means great picture quality every time

14mbps is not less than a bluray quality and after a certain limit increasing bitrate wont enhances the picture quality
Though its a h264 hardware encoder and hauppauge site says it will work on old pc too but trust me it wont
The hauppauge 1512 hdpvr 2 is a highquality usb 2

However recording wont be affected on old pcs if used wintv or capture4me recording software

Hauppauge capture application is good but very heavy software and shoots up the cpu load to 100 while recording and there is no option to disable preview while recording so that load on cpu could be decreased
