Pros

This is such a great item to have if you are a cord cutter and want to go totally ota. It works as expected and it integrates well into my orb. Getting the mythtv installed is pretty easy, but he wrote a perl script to make it easy.

Hvr 1950 tuner runs well under windows w/ media center. You connect everything to hvr-1950, plug in your usb cable and vista does the majority of the work for you. It was really made for windows vista and windows 7.

Hvr-1950 model 1192 comes with an external mpeg-2 encoder which doesn't draw resources from the computer. Ghz cpu, 1 gb ram, and slimline dvd. Hd looks great, and on my pc (i7 2. Ghz) it does the video encoding so that your atom doesn't have to.

My rom driver has error code 19 on it now and nothing will fix this. Even the installer is buggy.

Be aware that if you are planning on using wintv extend the included disk does not provide that feature

I got it because i wanted to record the olympics and i dont have tivo or even cable service
