Highlights
Quality
There is a learning curve to the perfect flow but overall happy with the purchase
I bought two of them and have been very happy
Otherwise it is very popular with the birds and other backyard visitors
I blast the bottom with the water hose every now and then to make sure the bottom is clean
Packaging/appearance
Before refilling i just hold the lid down with both hands and slosh the waterer sideways to get the muck out of the lip
I put a 14 of a teaspoon of copper sulphate in the bucket
Competitiveness
I like that i can fill it up without having to flip it over like the other waterers
Its nice to have a bpa free waterer for my organic fed chickens
My chicken yard looks like a waterer graveyard
Ive tried every kind of waterer made

The black floater in between the white bucket and the colored trough needs to be maintained

In weather hotcold the floater will fill with water rendering the fount useless allowing water to leak out with in hours

Else your bucket will leak and make you crazy after a while forcing a new purchase

Emptied the water and cleaned it put the lid back on the float making sure it snapped shut all round
Posted by a reviewer on Amazon
That was the problem water could enter the float because the lid wasnt tightly shut when assembled at the manufacturers
