It’s cute and works decent. It's held up to the * like a champ! There are a few scrapes in the paint on the edges but my 2 kids have had this for 4 years! Very sturdy and well manufactured product.

Gifted guitar for a 2 year old. Even after two months is still rocking out multiple times a day. He also sometimes walks on it or gathers all the strings together between his fingers.

Hape's ukelele has a strong chemical, moth-ball-like odor. There is a hole designed in the product packaging where someone other than hape could have applied a chemical. I'd rather spend $20 and get an inexpensive "real" ukulele that sounds good.

It has virtually no sound, can't be tuned (all the turning seems to be to no avail) the tuning pegs are so cheap it won't stay in tune. Fret placement is very sloppy which makes barre chords sound terrible. Don't bother self tuning it.
