Overall the cord does work and works well it is a great example of a dc cord extension just not what i was looking for

The wire really appears to be 18 gauge but is surprisingly flexible heavy wire can be surprisingly stiff

However if you intend on the cord being moved around or expect any sort of real flexibility i recommend looking elsewhere
