Pros
Bought to be a deterrent for a cat who keeps leaving little parcels on my lawn. Battery appears to hold a good charge from the solar panel - much better than some others i've got around the garden, etc.
Good bright light when activated. Not shockingly bright but still useful. Not just a flicker, it stays on for a while. Detects well, but stays on longer than states in the instructions.
Cons
It requires a full day of full sunlight to charge. The solar panel is in direct sunlight but this makes no difference.

I found they are best set up facing south

The one i have facing north does not charge sufficiently in winter because there is not enough natural light to charge it fully
