Pros

Great craftsmanship and quality. Can't beat the quality for the money. Excellent in all facets. No real complaint.

This sharpened 1095 carbon steel sword, a sharpened 1080 tanto and also a non-sharpened stainless steel katana. It's plenty sharp. The etching on the blade is deeper and cleaner then the one in the photos.

Everything is snug. Everything is still tight—no rattle or buzz. Got a replacement with a tad bit of rust near the kissami and good give on the habaki again. Really cool dragon tsuba, and all fittings (mostly dragons) tight and very well done.

Came fast and undamaged. This new order however. Almost unforgivable. Can't beat it. Shipping on time, even earlier.

The hilt is nicely wrapped and comfortable to hold. The sheath is well made and nicely lacquered.

Cons

There was no hamon on the sword at all. On the saya the kurikata (knob) is poorly finished leaving the laquar job to be extremely messy. Unfortunately it is not superficial scratchs you can feel it while rubbing a cloth over the blade.

Got it as a gift for my brother and he loved it came fast more than i originally thought it would be for sure would buy again

Honestly this may have been the most cared for item ever shipped to me

My order was carefully packed and arrived on time and in good order

Packaging/appearance

Came preoiled and well packed in a round heavy duty tube and storage bag4

Its also wrapped in a black cloth sack

It was delivered in a very protective cylinder case and everything was in mint condition

The box does not look solid the inner cloth is unattached

This sword is possibly the best value for the and far superior to others ive purchased in the past and heres why1

I do not have a lot to compare to as i am no expert and not even really a collector as this is my first functional katana

I have other more expensive swords by hanwei and cold steel that are not finished nearly as well as this sword

Other places i’ve looked have similar swords at double the price
