Pros
These strips are literally life savers. They are * on and stay in place well. Used self drilling stainless screws instead of the wood screws in the package.
They seem a bit pricey but well worth the money. They are also very effective at preventing slips. If you're in a wet climate, these are invaluable.
The walkways around my house have a 6x6 lumber separating various areas. I am an obese, 70 year old granny with a bad hip and have to walk up 8 steps to get to my mailbox, and worry about my tenants slipping on the front porch steps and suing me.

It was incredibly easy to install and once installed it is rock solid
They lasted less than 6 months before they began to peel off
We have tried skateboard tape and other methods to provide traction to the wet steps but all have failed

We used to have those stick on sandpaper strips which ripped and tore off over time and were not as protective as these strips to prevent slipping and falling
