Pros

Metal treads are more expensive than adhesive treads, but after reading reviews of how poorly those adhere in exterior applications, i opted for these. They provide traction and install with just a few screws. Each bag comes with black screws.

These are screed in and wonderful. My tenant loves them. Buy them individually with confidence.

After a rain, they can be terrifyingly slippery.

They are almost 4 inches wide for better foot contact. They have a nice length and have raised bumps to help with traction. Coated with ice, they help, but are still slippery.

Easy to install with just a cordless drill/screwdriver. Installation is easy with a drill and phillips head bit.
