So each loop is created by a portion of the strap sewed back upon itself

Each of those loops is reinforced with 3 separate lines of stitching except for the end loop which the rest of the strap runs through to create the wrap around the tree the end loop has 4 lines of stitching as it will bear greater load due to its point in the system

At 10 long i was able to employ these hammock on huge oak trees the ones so wide across you cant even reach around them on your own as opposed to being limited by shorter 6 foot hammock straps
