Pros

The flip-front fill chamber is convenient and easy to fill. There is handle on the basket that is easy to lift out and clean. You can flip open the top back to pour water in faster.

This coffee maker brews 12 cups in just under 10 minutes. The front panel has a big button that says brew. It has tons of options for brewing which includes different strength settings. Some minor quibbles - like it doesn't beep when brewing is done.

The auto off feature is great; no burnt coffee taste. I'm coming from using an aeropress and french press every day and while i think they can produce a more full bodied cup of coffee, the taste profile on the device isn't that far behind.

Cons

I am very happy with this new hamilton beach thermal carafe coffee maker

The hamilton beach coffee maker has allowed me to enjoy the taste and convenience of using a good quality drip coffee maker again

This window can be kept relatively narrow which would have minimal effect on the thermal quality of the carafe

But for this price point im very satisfied

Price

The lid is kind of loose and the door that swings out pops out easily but the price was right and i like it

Packaging/appearance

This one breed at a hotenough temp that results ina cup that i can drink almost right out of the pot

Competitiveness

This stainless steel carafe keeps my coffee hot and fresh for hours without the taste from sitting on a hotplate

I never cared for the taste of the coffee brewed by the keurig and the cost for the individual kcup packets was ridiculous

The coffee comes out hot hotter than our kuerig which is nice the steel carafe keeps it hot

It needs little more counterspace than our previous simpler machine
