Since the bucket is flexible its important to first put in canister get machine turning and then start adding ice in the flexible bucket as sometimes the motor does not turn if the locking is a bit out of alignment and then you need to take out all the ice all over again to set it right

After a couple of times of making icecream ive realized that its a trade off between the bucket style where you have to procure the ice and rock salt and withstand the noise but you can make icecream on a whim and not have to chill the outer container for 24 hours
