Pros & Cons

Pros

Hal leonard is the gold standard for self-taught music, regardless of the instrument. I am a woodwind musician that has never touched a stringed instrument today.

Page book is chock full of lessons and songs that progress as you learn. Shows the basics of chords, notes, and strumming variations. Many cute songs to strum along with. As you memorize each tune, this becomes less of an issue.

Simple for beginner or advanced. Each one builds upon the previous work. Format and method of instruction is just easy and practical to learn.

Reviewing the kindle version. The pages and font are a perfect size so if you have a hard time seeing the font i’m sure you would see this perfectly. Illustrations and audio are perfect.

Cons

Very disjointed lessons. Even the song choices are so cliche and outdated. Probably won't return, but will have to seek out instruction on my own.

Most of the exercises are blurry and faded. Chords are thrown at the reader, and song notes are omitted. There were also few hints on how to move between chords.
