Pros
It heats up pretty quickly and is definitely hot enough to do quick work with solder. Uses a lot of juice though, so eneloop rechargeables are what i pack around for this and all devices.
Cons
It simply isn't strong enough to solder wire bigger then gauge 18. Down right lie say it’s forrc hobbyists, it will not even unsolder my motor wires.

I dont require a soldering iron often but when i do its usually in the middle of nowhere with no 120v power available and critical to fix quickly
