Pros
The hakko is a very good japanese product and it is the benchmark for soldering related equipment. The solder fume/odor is reduced tremendously when * into the filter. For safety, this type of device should always be used when soldering.
Works exactly as it should. Both modes work just as well. Works as intended. Does exactly what it promises.
High quality with durable materials. Works best by designing overhead holder for it. Sometimes i have to play with the positioning of my work area and this * to get it to * properly.
Quiet enough (or at least, the sound is not bothersome) and has a few different ways to stand it for different scenarios. The fan produces noise but that cannot be avoided and it's not any noisier than a smt rework station.

Cons
If you are not in a well ventilated area it just blows them around, still leaving harmful particles in the air. The filter is so thin and porous that you can easily see through it so i doubt it can even filter anything. More like a pile of leaves soak... Read More

Amazon sells ac infinity fans and of course i bought both a 115v and 230v model hs1238b for the 220v
Id rather deal with the noise than inhale the fumes though

So you cant have this filter on the back of your work desk it has to be right up in the the action

You pretty much have to work in line of sight with this device for it to work which isnt great
