At the connection the wire ends seemed to want to poke through the heat shrink because it gets very soft when heating. The haisstronica brand connector failed at the color band. Stick to normal solder and heat shrink.

In order to melt the solder, you have to get it so hot that the wire itself starts melting. The solder never melts until the casing is almost burned. Once they melt, they fall apart. Melting point of soldier is too high.
