These strips can be used to check the hardness of your water. I use these periodically to insure that my expensive water softener is working properly.

No fuss no mess. Arrived promptly. Came real fast and packed well.

Works well for approximate measurements of water hardness. Try to use under warm lighting or read outdoors in sunlight.

Just run one through a flowing faucet for a second and compare the strip color to the benchmarks listed on the plastic container. Fortunately they give you a lot of strips for the money.
