Pros
Two go on the smaller end of the rod and the two have a large hole to accommodate the larger end.
Magnets are very strong and stay in place. Absolutely no issues with the magnet holding the curtains or valance. Your rod goes into the ball which is permanently attached to the magnet ends.
Cons
They're cheaply made but that's clear from the listing. Very flimsy. Not very well made. It's so frustrating.
These are great, but the magnet came out of the curtain rod holder in less than 24 hours! There was no adhesive to stick to the wall, thank goodness for gorilla glue. None of them had the peel away cover that you're suppose to remove before attaching ... Read More

They are very sturdy i use them in my french doors and they worked out perfectly easy to assemble
Works great on steel doors holds tight and doesn’t slip
Magnet came out of rod after 2 weeks of hanging
It has been more than six months and they have only fell off once

You can see by the photo that it did peel a little of the door paint off when i tried to pull the magnet off the door

I assume those having a problem were dealing with stainless steel which is not magnetic
