Pros & Cons
Pros
The 270mm model is spectacular for cutting softwoods and is a little coarse for small joinery work and hardwoods. Tried it out on some hard pine and poplar, very nice.
No need to sharpen it, replacement blades are cheaper than paying to have a regular saw sharpened. Mine is still sharp but i like that i can just buy a new blade when it's time.
The long and light, rattan covered handle is easy to hold with one or two hands. Breaks down and fits in my framing tool box. One of my new favourite tools.
Highlights
Price
Price is a bit higher than in japan but traveling to japan to buy one would be more expensive for me and where i live nobody sells these
Competitiveness
This 655 270mm model is spectacular for cutting softwoods and is a little coarse for small joinery work and hardwoods
