Pros & Cons
Cons
Gunvault needs to install sturdier and longer lasting hardware. Customer service is not helpful unless it's within the one-year warranty. Technical support was completely disinterested in troubleshooting or offering a solution.
The gun vault does not reliably open via combination. I have two sentrysafe * safes that have lasted a lot long and are frankly better constructed, only like $20 more. Buy a vaultek - great safe and much stronger.
The tiny motor is undersized. It fails to open 90% of the time with the digital combo. This is a backup gun, and i have only rarely opened it.
I hung and called back and guess who answers the phone, that's right albert. What useless advice. Don't waste your money.
The keypad still works and the safe clicks like it's unlocked but it won't open unless you use the key. Worked well enough for about a year (also the warranty period) but the keypad now refuses to open the safe.
