I tried it out today at home using a louisville 16' type 1a fiberglass extension ladder with a 300# rating.

It actually gives you an additional 3-4 feet.

If your like me you like to have your ladder at-least 3 rungs above gutter line so by using this you actually gain 4-7 feet.

Each piece is not heavy by no means but 14 lbs times 2 at the end of a ladder is difficult to use by your self.

Before i purchased the extensions, i read a review that said it did not fit on a werner 3 section extension ladder.

The fit isn't secure on my little giant sumo stance so it wobbles quite a bit even when over tightened.

The wobble doesn't concern me as much, i trust that it won't fall off while driving but the weight is an issue.

I'm far from the strongest guy in the field and i'm not experienced carrying tall ladders so adding what feels like 8 pounds to the end of a fully extended 28' ladder is a horrible ordeal.
