Pros
As i get older, i have found myself getting less confident transitioning from ladder to roof. Works as intended, fit's a werner ladder just fine. Keeps your center of gravity within the sideways plane of the ladder as you leave the ladder.
This is one of the best things i have purchased on amazon. They are very sturdy and easy to install on ladder and remove. Needs shims on some of my ladders to keep it tight.
Both items are worth their weight in gold! It's also much lighter than expected. There is a latch that is supposed to lock onto the top rung of the ladder as well. Kept me from buying a 1000$ portable stair ramp.
This safety rail is a game changer to get on and off of roofs. The rubber bumpers and the grip tape on the handrails are both good features.
With the step-through, my hesitation is gone. Descent is equally as confident! The straps are equally remarkable, and instill even more confidence. Just remember to keep that safety mindset.

So it is much safer to walk through vs stepping off its hard to set up on a 2nd story roof and the ladder needs some kind of anchoring to counter the extra weight at the top

They are light only about 14 pounds for the pair but they add considerable weight to the end of the ladder making erecting a ladder somewhat difficult

The fit isnt secure on my little giant sumo stance so it wobbles quite a bit even when over tightened

The wobble doesnt concern me as much i trust that it wont fall off while driving but the weight is an issue

Im far from the strongest guy in the field and im not experienced carrying tall ladders so adding what feels like 8 pounds to the end of a fully extended 28 ladder is a horrible ordeal
