One negative is the edges on some places can be a bit sharp

The box gives a picture of how to set it up but i did it without looking at the picture and figured it out very easily

The bottom curve that holds the laptop from slipping is small not high so it does not touch your wrists when youre typing

If you have a large laptop mine is 17” then you may find this on the edge of being too narrow

The table has to be stable to use this stand and also the stand doesnt sit in its position unless there is a laptop on it
