The tilted surface is wonderful. It makes grinding glass like a hot knife through butter! Only bad is it is sometimes kind of hard to hear the tv when she is correcting a large irregularity.
This grinder is amazing. It makes it easy! It’s worth every penny. This is the best grinder i’ve used.

Paper patterns glued to glass get really wet and tend to fall apart in all the pump water so use heavy duty patterns

I have glass that runs from very thin picture frame glass thickness to very thick bottom of a jar or bottle
