Ive solved the long drying time and the staining problem by hanging them to dry outsideit still takes a long time but it doesnt cost me anything and the sun bleaches the stains

In my experience neither is good for runny ebf poo if you want to reuse the cover

These pads wash well we rinse in toilet use charlies prespray soak for 30min and heavy wash one 45 min dryer cycle and then out in the sunshine to bleach away any remaining stain

I say usually because if he feeds frequently during the night they will sometimes leak by morning
