Pros
It works well but like all shady gardens it will require some maintenance. Good news is that this worked and really cut down on seed lost to birds. It took rather a while to start to germinate.

After a couple of weeks it started sprouting and after four it was long lush and ready to cut on a high setting

I followed a tip i found where i mixed the seed with soil and sand in a wheel barrow then left it to germinate under a cover for a while

As you can see we have a new area of lawn around 3x3m

This was where a deck used to be for 10 years so nothing grew under there
