These screws are great for exterior (or interior) trim work when you don't want to lug out the finish gun and compressor to use nails or brads. These are the best finish nails i have used.

These let me attach trim leaving only a small head that is easy to fill

The head of the screw is a little larger than i expected so it makes a larger hole than a large finish nail but that can be remedied with wood filler

I wanted to place the screws close to the end of the threshold pieces and drilling a very small pilot hole solved the problem of splitting the oak even though the screws are self starting
