When the buffer arrived the box looked like ups had ran over it several times and didnt bother trying to tape it back up well the grinder is rock solid and fared well the on off pullpush switch is prety flimsey and had snapped off

Considering how easy it is to send a knife flying into the wall at breakneck speed with this 1725 rpm buffer i dont think i would want to test the idea that a higher rpm machine is less likely to grab and fling your work

I have employed various other methods of polishing in the past and they are all grossly inferior to this buffer
