There is only one issue that i ran into and that is if you have a lot of buttons on the sides of your phone the clamp can push them but for most phones its not an issue because there are not that many buttons toward the bottom of the phone

I am using this to hold an iphone 5s in a waterproof case which is just fine because this is meant to hold an iphone 6 which is much larger
