I spent 400 on two yes two different electricians one home licensed and bonded the other an out of work union guy neither one got anywhere the licensed guys suggested i fake it with a wireless switch

The instructions are worthless to me so go on youtube and get a demo or find a friend who knows how to use it show you

When i received my set it says progessive electronics on the probe althoughit looks the same as the greenlee product

Except when it came to tracing cat5 not so good

Any toner set will have trouble with cat5 or cat6 twisted pair because the twists will reduce the noise thats what theyre supposed to do anyways

If youre tracing both conductors of the pair you wont be able to tone it unless you actually touch the pair in question
