The suction cups while work in holding the slicer from flipping are not strong enough to hold it from moving forward on the countertop as you slice

Holding down in the middle is not good because as you slice the part with the handle moves along

Another small inconvenience is the fact the you can only use a very low bowlplate because a larger bowl wont fit under the ledge
