Firm and smooth with a tiny bit of stretch to ensure you get a nice snug knot. Made in every conceivable length.
Cons
For boot laces they're really thin like angel hair spaghetti. After wearing them for a week.

The boots only last 6 to 9 months for work safety and are retired to forestyard work then the laces and boots last forever
