I followed an instructional video on you tube which suggested to put a heat protector under the unit or it can crack your countertops

I did even with the sleeve provided put it on corked hot pads about 1” thick

I plan on making yogurt in it and the recipe takes 36 hours so i want to maximize keeping the heat inside the container
