Cons
The clamp screw takes up part of the three inches and it did not fit my rail. The angle and length of the bar causes the feeder to hang below the railing. The coating on the metal is cheap and split after the first rain and rusted straight away.

If your railing has any kind of a curve to it it will not be an ideal fit and will not be sturdy
