Works perfectly for hanging my bird feeder so that rodents and squirrels can't get to it. The bracket on this deck shepherd hook is a full 3 inches which should fit most deck railings. The 3 inch railing bracket is difficult to find.

Sturdy and well-made. Easy to put together and clamp onto the deck. No drilling involved. It fits securely.

Caveat emptor (buyer beware) lives. Have to now go through the trouble of reboxing and sending back for my refund. A few weeks later i get an email from amazon, saying they're recharging my credit card.

It needs to be a wider or taller. It swivels and cannot be locked into the farthest position. The paint on this is spotty, and has areas of bare metal.
