Pros

It works much quieter than the last one. Does still require shaking it to loosen up the peppercorns to grind better.

I really like the look, the quality, and the amount of salt and pepper theses units hold. They look classy and work great. They are so convenient to have when cooking or serving a meal.

Cons

After owning my set for 15 months one of them has just stopped working. The salt gets into the battery area and corrodes the metal pieces causing the batteries to not work. They are super too heavy, with a small base.

The coarseness knob on top of the grinder eventually stops turning, and never really changed the grind size, anyway. Each shaker requires 6 aaa batteries.

Also ordered coarse himalayan sea salt expect delivery of whole black peppercorns within the week
