Pros

The gransfors bruks swedish carving axe is one step above a shovel. This thing works great for woodcarving. I chopped out a serving spoon blank in 20 minutes. This carving axe is awesome it's my go to axe forsure.

Shave sharp out of the box, perfect grain orientation on the haft. It exudes control, power, skill and shows the craftsmanship. Easily sharpens and holds a sharper than razor edge.

Love it. Awesome hatchet. Thanks gransfors. You will not be disappointed.

Cons

Upon initial inspection a 1/2 inch crack was found radiating from the handle towards the blade in the metal work. Not an inexpensive piece and the handle is awful.
