The feeder lid has two bolts that go into two holes in the top body of the feeder to keep it closed. It's very well made and easy to assemble. Easy to train chickens with included instructions.

Love this, its my 2nd time purchasing. Feeder works as advertised. It saves me so much time with day-to-day chores.
