Like others have said it doesnt stay tight on the armrest but after giving it some thought theres really no way for it to

Sure the front side of it could be taught and elastic but the outer side that goes towards the back would have no way to stay tight against the couch even if there were elastic in the band

I will however deduct a star guiltfree since the pictures didnt seem to accurate the products functionality
