    Because of how wide the *blade* part is, when they are all placed together or with a bunch of other things blades down, water tends to get trapped in between them, so if you don't take them out of the dishwasher right away you will have tiny rust spots on the blades.

    While the movie sets of this appear gold in some brief scenes - it might be because of the lighting and/or they actually are bronze copies.
