Theres a plastic pin that sticks up from the drivers seat which fits into a corresponding hole at the bottom of the driver figure but it turned out there was a small plastic cap stuck on the pin which needed to be removed and discarded

I wasnt too keen on the other button other than the forward button was to make the car go backward and reverse but after i thought of it for a while it made perfect sense if the car bumps into something going straight you wouldnt want it to keep going forward to turn you would want to back it up and turn it to go another direction
