First the retail packaging was put in an amazon cardboard box of approximately twice the volume with no padding material whatsoever not even crumpled newspaper

Third and most disappointing when unboxing the scope the entire objective lens assembly dropped off the main body tube all by itself no stressing required

Apparently the tube body and the objective lens assembly are made of plastic and the threads that join the two together are of extremely low tolerance in fit
