I bought this remote to use on my vacation with the gopro 7 it does the job but its has some room to be much better there were times during the trip that the remote would not connect and then sometimes it worked flawlessly

While this device is waterproof it does not work while underwater

Every once in a while it wont connect but majority of the time it stays connected

I have experienced on a few occasions where even though i see the res indicator light blinking telling me its recording when i actually check the files on the laptop it never recorded

What i do see are gaps in recording times or a small video file around 30mb that tells me something went wrong

Before this i would manually press the record button on the camera but that resorted in not knowing if i was recording or if i stopped recording

No audio confirmation when that happens so when you are too far away from the camera to hear the camera beep you may have dropped the bluetooth connection to the remote and just cant control the camera
