Pros
The spout seems fragile but is holding its own for now. I wish they didnt take the $6 shortcut but here we are. It’s heavy duty and not flimsy at all.
The overflow vent is nice so i know when to close off the diverter when it’s full. It's level on my patio, and my garden is at grade or above.
Cons
Took the 6 screws off to find the spigot inside the barrel along with a whole bunch of plastic shavings. The faucet that you twist into the opening is not even or level. As the product is not one single piece, there is a seam along each side.
Plastic is very brittle and cracks easily. Packaging specifies that it's a 40 gallon barrel. Starting third summer, the top is as brittle as egg shells and the barrel is trash. Lead warning so it probably adds lead to your water >plants>kids.
It is all one color, no variation and the only details are the texture.
I'm not sure it's fixable. It's not salvageable. This is irresponsible from the manufacturer! Even in current circumstances it is unacceptable to deliver products that may be similar conceptually, are fraudulent.

This is not a bad water collection barrel but it has a couple of small design issues

First and formost it has almost no lip around the top for retaining water before it goes down the drainhole
