The material on the bottom is knit sweater material so it isnt water proof on the bottom

If you have low riders youll want to get their other coat that is fully water proof

Two things to think about will the zipper catch if your dog has long fur and if you dog is a “puller” the rings where your leash attaches might not be strong enough
