The camera turns on and off automatically when you start the engine when it is powered by the supplied usb adapter for the cigarette lighter socket

Did initially plug it directly into the usb port i have in my car but that meant that the camera was powered even when the ignition was not on so was not suitable

The camera records video on a loop in 3 min sections and will overwrite recordings when the card becomes full card not supplied

The camera also comes with a remote control button you can use when stationary which will save video 6 secs before pressing and 6 seconds after
