The tops are copper, no dark patina at all. These look hastily manufactured. The coating is inconsistent and two of the lanterns were so coated, you couldn't see the light.

When lit they are really pretty but one does not work correctly and the top is bent

The lantern part is glass and the top is metal looking but you can tell it is cheaply made as well at the bottom section where you put the batteries
