Pros

It's cute, has fun pictures, and a nice little story line. Good for teaching kids colors and opposites. There are some other teaching opportunities like opposites and prepositions of place.

I am delighted that this is still available today. I am sure that this book was a big influence on me becoming a big time reader as i grew up. Highly recommend all.

Dr. Eastman provides a great story with a good imagination. My 4 year old autistic great grandson loves to hear this story.



Cons

The new book has the exact same problem! This is not the version of the book that i read (over and over) as a kid. It is heavily simplified.
