It fits the laptop pretty snug but were it only connects with one usb c port its a little flimsy and have to hold it to unplug any usb thats connected to otherwise the whole hub unplugs

A smart phone may be low enough but most laptops or tablets will not be

Even if it were going into a vertically aligned socket on a device then you still need to be very careful as you plug things into the usb sockets that you do not over time damage the devices typec socket

If the typec plug had been located pointing out of the unit in the middle then this wouldnt be so much of an issue
