Pros

This adapter is a great replacement of the oem adapter. Don't need to worry about recharging dead batteries now. No more changing my batteries every 30-45 minutes. Now for r6 owners.

Canon 70d and 80d can be used as webcams for zoom. Great for video conferencing and live streams with a canon 5d mark iii. Works great to keep the camera going as a webcam on windows. Comes with a zoom lens.

This works perfectly as a * battery for my canon 90d dslr camera for continuous power supply via ac wall outlet. The camera battery lid can be opened to allow for the * battery cable to exit out of the battery compartment.

Cons

The ack-e6 doesn't fit in my canon 80d. I need my 70d to run for hours on end as a webcam, and i can't, due to the battery causing my camera to overheat. In the description it says this works with the 5d mk ii, and it does not.

Wow this seller is so. Worthless. Find another seller" "to add insult to injury they want me to pay for shipping on the return!

The a/c cable that was included didn't match the keying on the adapter side. Tried different lenses, batteries, manually depressing the microswitches. Many electronic items fail where an external connector meets circuit board.

This inexpensive valuepriced acke6 power pack for cameras using the lpe6 battery works perfectly right out of the box

Competitiveness

I have shot several 10 hour timelapse videos on both cameras with no power issues whatsoever

I use a canon 80d as my webcam for zoom and ms teams video conferencing when working from home office

Also if you are using the canon 70d or 80d as a webcam dont use the hdmi cable use the mini usb cable

But for now it does the trick for the fraction of the price
